On this week's show, we dissect side one of 1993's Counterparts. In many ways, Counterparts, with its heavy guitars and full sound, is a return to form for Rush, a sonic goodbye to the 1980s. Still, we disagree on the overall merits of the album. Who likes Counterparts more, Steve or Gerry? There's only one way to find out!

I’m not crazy about the aha and yes to yes in the song Between Sun and Moon. I’m more a double agent

I'm not crazy about one section of Nobody's Hero, at the end of the chorus when Geddy sings the song title, the keyboard arrangement resembles feel-good orchestral strings taken out of some Hollywood rom-com I would sleep through. I'm surprised at what Neil said about the song being controversial. If it was on HYF then yes, Presto probably, RTB not really and Counterparts I doubt it.
