This week we discuss one of greatest albums in rock history, 1980's Permanent Waves. The album marks a turning point in Rush's career trajectory. Shorter songs--well mostly--that are more accessible, all without skimping on the songwriting that makes Rush the best band in all the land! Plus, Permanent Waves tees up its follow-up. But more on that in a future episode.

Love the podcast. Been listening since December 2020 and have been going back to older episodes. Not sure if you address this later, but Neil write about his religious beliefs in his book The Masked Rider: Cycling in West Africa. He wrote, "I'm a linear thinking agnostic, but not an atheist, folks."
